Company Profile
Milne Friend and Partners is a family firm of insurance brokers offering both insurance and independent financial advice. Our focus is on customer relations: Whilst we are small enough to offer excellent customer support, we alsoOur offices at Renslade House in Exeter have enough presence to effectively deal with insurance companies on your behalf. If and when you require help and support, we believe Milne Friend and Partners will cover all your needs.

Milne Friend and Partners was founded in 1979 by Rod Milne. Since then, the company has developed into one of Mid Devon's oldest and largest brokers. We specialise in commercial insurance but provide personal lines for existing customers and also many specialist insurances and financial products.

Why Use a Broker?
Insurance - especially commercial insurance - can be a very complex business. By using a broker, you are accessing our knowledge and experience of accurately assessing and representing risks, suggesting suitable policies and correct levels of cover, approaching the market to find you the best deal and helping you complete the proposal form.

In addition to this, you are also getting a post-sale account management service for the year, assisting you with claims handling and any mid-term adjustments if your situation changes. At renewal time, we will usually rebroke your policy as a matter of course to ensure your premium remains competitive.

A clear advantage is that you are dealing with a local family company where your account is managed by the same person for the life of your business with us. You also avoid the wasted time and frustration of dealing with call centres - especially the new breed of off-shore centres.

Treating Customers Fairly
The Partners and staff of Milne Friend and Partners are committed to providing the highest standard of insurance and financial advice possible. As a firm we take very seriously the requirements of the Financial Services Authority, in particular the requirement to treat our customers fairly and we strive to do this in all that we do.

We undertake that all of our actions will be guided by the principle that the interests of our customers are paramount. Our systems and procedures are designed to place our customers at the heart of our business. In our dealings with you, you can expect that:

  • We will be open and transparent in the way we deal with you
  • We will not place our interests before yours
  • We will communicate clearly and without the use of jargon
  • We will inform you of our charges before undertaking any work for you for a fee
  • We will deal with any complaints promptly and fairly
  • We always welcome and encourage all feedback from our clients. If you are a client (either past, existing or potential), we would greatly appreciate it if you could complete our quick online survey to provide us with feedback on the service we provide.
